Sometimes the most creative of people are tempted to give up their deepest desires and inner-spired work when they find no audience for their artistry. Unfortunately, most cultures of today do not support the arts, nor do they recognize how crucial they are to the sanity of the world. Did you ever stop to wonder that perhaps the world is in such difficult straits because a good many of its people are relinquishing their creative tendencies to pursue what society considers to be appropriate work for the masses? Going for the outer gold instead of the inner gold.
If you find yourself tottering on the brink of relinquishing all to the pressure of making a living, I beg you reconsider. Keep your art alive in any way you can. Remember, there is always an audience for the g-d sparks that flow through your veins, if not in the outer realm then most definitely on the inner. We in the virtual world of the mythic plane rejoice whenever an artisan or craftsman has the courage to find and sing their voice. Apollo sun-sparkles , the graces dance in delight, and the muses wax eloquent with poetic praise.
When the Spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art. - Leonardo da Vinci
It is preoccupation with possessions, more than anything else, that prevents us from living freely and nobly. - Joseph Campbell
